Suman earned her Masters in Food Science from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, and another Masters in Organic Chemistry from University of Denver, Denver. Graduate research involved conditional photofragmentation of isophthaloyl bis-aminopyridine barbiturate receptors and dithiane or trithiane based photolabile modules based on molecular recognition. Suman has been teaching organic chemistry for the past nine years.
