Sam is a Colorado native who earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Brigham Young University – Idaho, where he simultaneously worked for the university’s chemistry department as a stockroom lead, analytical lab TA, and curriculum development assistant. Between graduating from BYU-I and joining UCCS, Sam worked as an environmental scientist for a nonprofit organization Idaho, and then as an analytical technician for a dental water quality laboratory near Colorado Springs. Outside of work, Sam is a music enthusiast who enjoys playing saxophone and bass guitar with his family.
