Biographical Information

A native of North Dakota, Dr. Miller completed a bachelor’s degree with majors in chemistry and music at Minot State University, Minot, ND. She then moved to Colorado to obtain her Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Colorado Boulder, where she researched the dynamic polarization of proteins in melanoma cells in the lab of Dr. Natalie Ahn and completed a graduate Certificate in College Teaching. Prior to working at UCCS, she served as part-time chemistry faculty at Aims Community College in Greeley, CO. With extensive tutoring experience, she is enthusiastic about making science reachable to all students, supporting their individual goals, and helping them learn how to learn. Outside of teaching, she enjoys playing organ and percussion, and spending time with family.
