Departmental Scholarships

Connie Pitman Memorial Scholarship

The Connie Pitman Memorial Scholarship is for students majoring in Chemistry or Biochemistry (BS or BA), who are currently enrolled in or have already completed General Chemistry II and plan to enroll in Organic Chemistry I in the fall. Students must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) with completion of General Chemistry I & II (with associated laboratories) prior to accepting the scholarship. Eligible students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The $1,000 scholarship will be given in memory of Connie Pitman, laboratory coordinator at UCCS for thirty-two years, where she taught numerous chemistry laboratories. Scholarships will be given to students selected by faculty in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Students may be awarded this scholarship only once.

Ingvar Wallace II Memorial Scholarship

The Ingvar Wallace II Memorial Scholarship funds scholarships for outstanding students entering their senior year who are seeking a BS degree in Chemistry at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded based on academic merit. Students may be awarded this scholarship only once.
