Ericka Rivera Lemon is a transplant from Memphis, TN, who earned both a BS & an MSc from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. Ericka’s Analytical Chemistry graduate research focused on the development of a silver nanoparticle antioxidant (SNaP-C) assay that detects the presence of Vitamin C in various beverages. During her graduate years in the Chemistry and Biochemistry department, she developed first-year (Introductory and General) chemistry course curricula, contributed to development of open education resources for first-year lab courses, and taught Introduction to Chemistry, Introduction to Organic and Biochemistry, and General Chemistry lab courses. She currently teaches Introduction to Chemistry lab courses.
